A Genuine Hero!

After all the negative publicity recently about teens driving irresponsibly and permanently affecting their lives and the lives of their loved ones, here comes a story to remind us the flip side. The quick thinking of this guy saved the life of his girlfriend who had a stroke behind the wheel, and saved the lives of other motorists as well.

Good going!

A Stroke of Luck

The next time you have a driving lesson, please ask your instructor on what to do if the person behind the wheel has a medical emergency. Such questions do not get asked enough, yet are one of the most important things to teach driving students. Medical emergencies behind the wheel do happen, and most people have only the vaguest idea of what to do. Obviously a calm attitude and quick, decisive thinking are paramount. But are there other, less known techniques that would help in this frightening situation? Might be worth  asking your driving instructor!

  2. Hi Simon,

Thank you for your very nice comment! We just visited your site and blog and found it equally interesting! One of the things we are interested in doing with this blog is to try to exchange information and ideas from a wide variety of driving sources, both nationally and internationally. By doing so, we hope we can create more of an awareness of a wide variety of driving issues experienced worldwide and hopefully learn from each other. Thanks again for your interest!
