Obviously Not An Alliance Defensive Driving School Student

Unbelievable to hear, but a couple of days ago, a 20 year old student driver struck six people in a crosswalk in Livermore California. A licensed adult driver was apparently in the car with her, and she had a learners permit!

What the article does not state is whether the licensed adult was 25 years or older, which is required by California law--even if the student is legally an adult. The law does not only apply to teens.

Student Driver Strikes Pedestrians

For more information on the requirements for a student in the practice of the art of driving, please go to the

DMV California Driver Handbook . This is a good book to have handy, even if you are a seasoned driver. You might still have questions that the book will hopefully answer. And best of all, you can one up at the DMV for FREE!
